SCREW
Remove the nut and washer from the middle of the saw
housing. See Figure 24.
Pull the lower wheel away from the saw housing.
Remove the worn drive belt.
Place new drive belt on the pulley. As you slide the wheel
shaft back into the hole in the saw housing, place the
drive belt over the motor pulley.
Replace the nut and washer on the wheel shaft and
retighten.
Replace saw blade.
Check thrust bearings and blade guides.

TIRES
Cleaning tires:
Pitch and sawdust accumulates on tires and needs to be
removed with a fine wire brush or a piece of wood.
Do
not use a sharp knife or any kind of solvent.
Replacing tires:
Open front cover and remove saw blade. See section on
Installing and Adjusting the Blade, page 19.
Pry the worn tire away from the wheel carefully.
Stretch the new tire around the wheel.
Replace the saw blade and close the front cover.
BRUSHES
See Figure 23.
There are brushes located inside the saw housing, next to
the wheels. It helps protect the tire and wheel by brushing
off saw dust. As the brushes becomes worn, they will need
to be adjusted or replaced.
Remove the screw then pull the brush off.
Place the new brush in the groove.
Retighten using the screw.
DRIVE BELT
See Figures 24 and 25.
Due to wear or breakage, the drive belt may need to be
replaced. The drive belt is located behind the lower wheel
of the band saw.
Remove the saw blade and set it aside. See section on
Installing and Adjusting the Blade, page 19.
