■ Switching Temporarily to Tone Dialling
Many information services for banks, airline reservations, hotel reservations, etc., require tone dialling for their services. If your
machine is connected to a rotary pulse line, follow this procedure to set the machine temporarily for tone dialling:
•The Function key will light up by pressing Function to be able to operate Tone/+.
1 Press FAX to set to Fax Mode.
2 Pick up the handset of your telephone.
3 Enter a destination using the numeric keys on your telephone or using a
one-touch speed dialling key, coded speed dialling codes, Redial/Pause
key or the numeric keys on the machine.
4 When the recorded message of the information service answers, press
Tone/+ to switch to tone dialling.
•When Tone/+ is pressed, T is displayed in the LCD.
• If your telephone line uses tone dialling, go to the next step.
5 Use the numeric keys on the machine to enter the numbers requested by
the information service.
• Numbers entered after pressing Tone/+ will be dialled using tone dialling.
• After pressing Tone/+, you cannot use the numeric keys on the telephone. Use
the numeric keys on the machine.
6 If you want to receive faxes, press Start.
7 Hang up to disconnect the call.
• Tone dialling is cancelled when you disconnect the call.
