Finding Idioms
4. Type a word, for example turn
and then press ENTER.
The list of idioms that contain
“turn” is displayed. Press
to return to the idiom search
screen.
If an idiom is too long to t on
the screen, you will see on the
right side of the screen. Press
to display the entire idiom on the
screen. Press ENTER to remove
the pop-up window.
5. Press or to move the
highlight to the idiom you want
to view and then press ENTER
to select it.
The entry is displayed that
contains the idiom you selected.
6. Use the navigation button to
read the entire denition.
Press to hear the word.
7. Press CLEAR when done.
From a Dictionary Entry
Another way to nd idioms is from a
dictionary or thesaurus entry.
1. Press .
The eBooks tab is displayed.
2. Press or to highlight Oxford
Advanced Learner’s Dictionary,
7th edition and then press
ENTER to select it.
3. Type a word, for example jump
and then press ENTER.
The entry for “jump” is displayed.
4. Use the navigation button to
read the entire denition.
