Information
If you use the electronic viewfinder (sold separately: VF-2), you can view the shooting screen
in the finder. This is convenient when you are in a very bright location, such as under direct
sunlight, where it is difficult to view the monitor or are using the camera at a low angle.
Also refer to the electronic viewfinder’s manual.
1 Turn off the camera.
2 Slide off the hot shoe cover.
• Keep the shoe cover in a safe place to avoid losing it.
3 Remove the connector cover from the electronic
viewfinder.
4 Align the electronic viewfinder with the hot shoe
on the camera body, and slide it in until it stops.
• Insert the electronic viewfinder by pushing on its lower
part.
5 Turn on the camera.
6 Each press of the u button switches between
the monitor display and electronic viewfinder
display.
• You can adjust the brightness and color temperature
of the electronic viewfinder. g“EVF ADJUST” (P. 102)
7 Turn the diopter adjustment ring to a position where the image on the viewfinder
can be seen clearly.
8 Adjust the viewfinder to your preferred angle (up to 90 degrees).
x Notes on looking after the viewfinder
• You cannot use an external flash and the electronic viewfinder at the same time.
