Error Messages
Power Supply Hardware Error Messages
Front panel error messages resulting from selftest errors or runtime failures are described in “Chapter 3 - Turn-On
Checkout” of the power supply Operating Guide.
Calibration Error Messages
Front panel error messages resulting from calibration errors are described in Appendix A of the power supply Operating
Guide.
System Error Messages
System error messages are obtained remotely with the SYST:ERR? query or by pressing the front panel
key. The
error number is the value placed in the error queue. SYST:ERR? returns the error number into a variable and combines the
number and the error message into a string. Table 5-1 lists the system errors that are associated with SCPI syntax errors and
with interface problems. Information inside the brackets is not part of the standard error message, but is included for
clarification. When system errors occur, the Standard Event Status register (see "Chapter 4 - Status Reporting") records
them as follows:
