Basic Saw Operations
Detent Override
To Engage:
1. Lift the miter detent trigger 1 (Figure 24).
2. Push the detent override clip
2 forward and latch in place
over edge. Release miter detent trigger
1.
3. Move miter arm
3 to any position on the miter scale.
4. Lock the miter lock knob
4 to retain miter position.
To Disengage:
5. Loosen miter lock knob 4 and lift the miter detent trigger
1 to release the detent override clip 2.
Sliding Base/Fence Extension
Extend and use sliding base/fence when
making severe bevel, severe miter or
compound cuts to provide sufficient (minimum 6”) spacing
from hand to saw blade.
Sliding Base:
1. Remove hex wrench from storage position on left rear
leg.
2. Loosen two (2) socket cap screws
5 in sliding base
channel with the 6 mm hex wrench provided (Figure 25).
3. Extend sliding base/fence
6 to the desired position.
4. Tighten screws. Store hex wrench.
Sliding Fence:
1. Unlock the fence locking lever 7 (Figure 26).
2. Slide fence to proper position

3. Relock fence in place.
During transportation, sliding base and
fence should always be secured in the full
