G0641 Double Miter Saw
SECTION 6: MAINTENANCE
Always disconnect power
to the machine before
performing maintenance.
Failure to do this may
result in serious person
-
al injury.
For optimum performance from your machine,
follow this maintenance schedule and refer to any
specific instructions given in this section.
Daily:
Check/tighten/replace loose or worn mount
-
ing bolts.
Check/sharpen/replace damaged or dull saw
blades.
Check/repair/replace worn or damaged wires
or connectors.
Check/re-fill pneumatic and lower pivot arm
oil reservoirs.
Clean/protect saw blades and table.
Check/repair any other unsafe condition.
Schedule
Vacuum excess wood chips and sawdust, and
wipe off the remaining dust with a dry cloth. If any
resin has built up, use a resin dissolving cleaner
like
OxiSolv® spray to remove it (see Section 5:
Accessories on Page 23 for more details).
Protect the unpainted cast iron surfaces on the
table by wiping the it clean after every use—this
ensures moisture from wood dust does not remain
on bare metal surfaces.
Keep tables rust-free with regular applications of
products like G96
®
Gun Treatment, SLIPIT
®
, or
Boeshield
®
T-9 (see Page 24 for more details).
Cleaning
Weekly:
Drain water from the air filter collection cup.
Clean/vacuum inside cabinet stand, and
under safety hood
.
Lubricate blade arbor housings and tie-rod
pivot points.
Monthly:
Check/re-tension/replace V-belt tension,
damage, or wear.
