Blade Guides
Always adjust the blade guides away from the
blade before installing a new blade or making
blade tracking/tension adjustments.
G9963/G9966 Blade Guides
To move the assemblies out of the way, loosen
the middle cap screws (shown in Figure 9) from
the front of the blade guide assembly. These
screws loosen the guide blocks which can then
slide out of the way of the blade. After the blade
tension and the blade tracking are set correctly,
follow the “Guide Block” and “Support Bearing”
instructions in this section for adjustment details.

Guide Post
The rack and pinion guide post can be easily
raised and lowered by first loosening the lock
knob, then turning the guide post handwheel.
Because the blade guard and the entire upper
blade guide assembly are attached to the guide
post, these items move up or down with the guide
post.

G3619/G3620 Blade Guides
To move the guide blocks away from the blade,
unscrew the knurled lock nuts on the guide block
shaft and rotate the guide blocks away from the
blade.
