2-3. Welding Gun Duty Cycle And Overheating
CAUTION
WELDING LONGER THAN RATED DUTY CYCLE can damage gun and void warranty.
Do not weld at rated load longer than shown below.
Using gasless flux cored wire reduces gun duty cycle.
warn7.1 8/93
Duty Cycle is percentage of 10
minutes that gun can weld at
rated load without overheating.

2-4. Volt-Ampere Curves
ssb1.1 10/91 SB-144 925-A / S-0700-A
1 Normal Volt-Ampere Curves
The volt-ampere curves show the
normal minimum and maximum
voltage and amperage output capa-
bilities of the welding power source.
Curves of other settings fall be-
tween the curves shown.
2 Overload Volt-Ampere Curves
When unit is used beyond capacity,
circuitry senses the overload and
shuts down unit output. Release
trigger and lower weld voltage set-
ting before trying to weld. This shut
down circuitry protects internal
circuits and parts from overload
damage.
