Unpacking and Clean-Up
1. Finish removing all contents from the
shipping container. Do not discard any
shipping material until the sander is set up
and running properly.
2. Report damage, if any, to your local
distributor and, or shipping company.
3. Clean all rust protected surfaces with a mild
solvent or kerosene. Do not use lacquer
thinner, paint thinner, or gasoline. These will
damage painted surfaces.
4. To prevent rust, apply a light coating of sealer
to the table surface.
Spindle & Insert Holders
1. Attach the spindle holder (A, Fig. 1) and the
insert holder (B, Fig. 1) to the cabinet using
six hex socket cap screws.
2. Clean the inserts and spindles. Place in the
appropriate holder.
Installing Spindles
1. Before inserting the threaded spindle into the
spindle housing, make sure the surfaces are
clean.
2. Thread the spindle counter-clockwise into the
spindle housing.
3. Using the provided wrenches, tighten the
spindle nut (A, Fig. 2) counter-clockwise
while holding the spindle housing flat (B, Fig.
2) with the other wrench.
4. Do not overtighten the spindle as it may be
difficult to remove after the sanding
operation.
Insert Plates
1. Always use an insert plate.
2. There are 2 oblong, and 2 round insert plates
included with the machine. The oblong insert
plates are used when the table is tilted for
bevel sanding. Each plate has a notch on the
outer edge to ensure that it is inserted
properly
