and filmed data images to fulfill customer
service and record-keeping requirements.
The Scanner/Microimager 990 can capture page images
and output them in electronic and film formats in a single
pass. There is no need to handle documents twice.
Equipment that can produce document
images which are suitable for customer
service.
The built-in image processing and automatic exposure
control capabilities can optimize the appearance of the
electronic and filmed document images making them
easy to read.
Equipment that can provide consistent
indexing and cross-referencing
capabilities across all media types
(original, electronic, and film).
One of five built-in indexing schemes may be used in
conjunction with a Patch Reader to make document level
changes resulting in automatic generation of a unique
image address for each document.
The image address can be printed on the original
document, using the Document Printer 1, as well as
written on film next to the filmed document image using
the Film Writing Module.
The roll number corresponding to the roll of film on which
the filmed document image is stored can also be
included in the scanned document.
