̅ When you are using the circular saw always wear ear protectors and protective glasses. Protective
gloves, robust non-slip shoes, and a protective apron are also recommended.
̅ Every time before using the circular saw make sure that you check it for any damage. If any parts
are damaged have them fixed or replaced at a specialist repair centre.
̅ Have a suitable tested vacuum device attached to the saw when working for long periods on
woods or plastics that create dusts that are hazardous to health.
̅ Always use the integrated safety features on your saw e.g. the switch lock and the blade cover ².
̅ Before every use, check that the saw blade cover ² moves freely.
̅ Do not drill into the machine casing as this may damage the electrical insolation (use adhesive

̅ Move the blade cover ² using the lever only. As the saw is placed on to the material to be cut,
the blade cover moves back automatically. The blade cover is not to be fixed in the open position.
In addition you should ensure that all moving parts of the saw blade cover function properly and
all the assemblies and components involved in covering the saw blade are in perfect working order.
̅ When you are plunge cutting, make sure that the workpiece sits against a kick-back stop, e.g.
a cross batten.
̅ When cutting a circular workpiece, secure it against rotation to both sides of the saw blade.
̅ Do not cut materials containing asbestos.
̅ Ensure that the parameters of the saw blade, e.g. the diameter, thickness and other technical
details are suitable for the workpiece.
̅ Ensure that the saw blade is suitable for the saw speed.
̅ Cracked or distorted blades are not to be used. HSS (High Speed Steel) saw blades are not to be
used.
̅ When you are sawing always make sure that you do not cut through any nails, screws or the like.
̅ Set the distance between the riving knife and the tips of the saw blade teeth to a max. 5 mm,
and set the distance between the tip of the riving knife and the lowest point of the saw blade
to max. 5 mm.
̅ The riving knife is only to be removed for plunge cutting.
̅ When you switch off the saw do not use additional braking methods or press against the saw
blade side to bring it to a standstill.
̅ Note: Do not touch the saw blade teeth – danger of cutting injury.

Important safety advice for the charger and the battery pack
If you come into contact with alkali from the battery pack, wash off the alkali thoroughly with
water. If alkali gets into your eyes, flush them out with water and seek immediate medical
attention.

02.Warning: Use only the charger and battery pack supplied by the manufacturer. Use of any other
can be hazardous.
03.Protect the charger, battery pack and electrical equipment from moisture, e.g. rain or snow.
04.Always check that the mains lead is correctly connected before using the charger.
05.If you find that the mains lead has been damaged, do not continue to use the charger. Have the
mains lead changed immediately.
06.When you are not using the charger, remove the plug from the mains socket. Do not pull the
plug out by the mains lead.
07.If the tool is dropped or otherwise subjected to mechanical stress, you should have it examined
by an appropriate specialist for damage before using it again. Damaged parts must be repaired.
08.Handle the battery pack carefully. Do not let it fall or be subject to impact.
