To remove blades:
1. Turn over the machine and remove the
bottom cover (MA3-1) by removing the
4 screws.
2. Loosen 4 screws and remove the lower
blade (MA3- 2)
3. Loosen 4 screws and remove the upper
blade (MA3-3),
To install blades:
The upper and lower blades are
interchangeable. When fastening the
blade mounting screws, torque them
uniformly.
Maintenance, replacement, or repair of the emission control device and
systems may be performed by any non-road engine repair establishment or
individual.
9. Maintenance
Before cleaning, inspecting, or
repairing the unit, make sure that the
engine has stopped and is cool.
Use protective gloves whenever
inspecting, removing, sharpening,
and installing the blades.
BLADE
Wipe off dust and dirt attached to the
blades, and oil them after every use.
To Sharpen blade:
1. When the cutting edges have become
dull, sharpen them by using a small disk
grinder. (MA1-a)
2. When sharpening, offset the teeth of
upper and lower blades by 3mm. (MA1-
b) To offset, insert the hexagon wrench
into the socket on the top of the
cuttercase and rotate it. (MA2)
Replace with new blades when the
tooth width became less than 8mm at
the tip. (MA1-c)
As the extent of wear differs by each
tooth depending on use conditions,
rotate the blade position at intervals.
