The faceplate is used for removing material from the face
of the workpiece, such as in hollowing operations. The
faceplate can be installed only if the center has been
removed from the headstock spindle.
DISCONNECT THE LATHE FROM POWER!
If the headstock center is installed, remove it (refer
to for instructions).
Thread the faceplate onto the headstock spindle.
Using the two included 34mm flat wrenches, tighten
the faceplate, as shown in .
To remove the faceplate, reverse Steps 3–4.
