How to Reset the Router to Factory Defaults
Lose your password? This section shows how to reset the Netopia Router so that you can access the
configuration screens once again.
Note: Keep in mind that all of your settings will need to be reconfigured.
If you don't have a password, the only way to access the Netopia Router is the following:
1. Referring to the diagram below, find the round Reset Switch opening.

2. Carefully insert the point of a pen or an unwound paperclip into the opening.
3. Press this switch.
This will reset the unit to factory defaults and you will now be able to reprogram your Router.
Power Outages
If you suspect that power was restored after a power outage and the Router is connected to a remote site, you
may need to switch the Router off and then back on again. After temporary power outages, a connection that
still seems to be up may actually be disconnected. Rebooting the gateway should reestablish the connection.
