LAN
11.1 Overview
This chapter describes how to configure LAN settings.
A Local Area Network (LAN) is a shared communication system to which many computers are
attached. A LAN is a computer network limited to the immediate area, usually the same building or
floor of a building. The LAN screens can help you configure the manage IP address, and partition
your physical network into logical networks.

11.2 What You Can Do
•Use the IP screen (Section 11.4 on page 102) to change the IP address for your WAP3205 v2
and DNS server information.
•Use the IP Alias screen (Section 11.5 on page 103) to have the WAP3205 v2 apply IP alias to
create LAN subnets.
11.3 What You Need To Know
The LAN parameters of the WAP3205 v2 are preset in the factory with the following values:
IP address of 192.168.1.2 with subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 (24 bits)
