Work Piece and Work Area Set Up
Work piece selection:1.
Work piece must be free of foreign a.
objects and loose knots.
Do not use to cut logs, tree limbs, or b.
uneven lumber.
Wet lumber, green (unseasoned) c.
lumber, and pressure treated lumber all
have an increased potential for kickback
and should only be cut with a blade
designed for cutting that lumber. Wear

appropriate ventilation whenever cutting
pressure treated lumber.
Designate a work area that is clean and 2.

access by children or pets to prevent
distraction and injury.
Route the power cord along a safe 3.
route to reach the work area without
creating a tripping hazard or exposing
the power cord to possible damage. The
power cord must reach the work area
with enough extra length to allow free
movement while working.
Secure loose workpieces using a vise 4.
or clamps (not included) to prevent
movement while working.
Verify that there are no utility lines or 5.
hardware in or near the workpiece. This
is especially critical for plunge cuts.
General Operating Instructions
Make sure that all guards are in place 1.
and in proper working order and that
all adjustment knobs are tight before
operation.
Once all adjustments are made, plug the 2.
Power Cord/Plug (68) into the nearest
120 volt, grounded, electrical outlet.
Position the Saw Blade (20) about 3.
1/2” from the beginning cut line on the
workpiece. Do not allow the Saw Blade
to come in contact with the workpiece.
