SPEED LOCK COLLET
A convenient feature on yourscrewdriver isthe speed
lock collet.This feature locksthe bit inthe collet
preventing it fromfallingout,
Note: The collet has been designed to accept 1/4 in,
hex drillbitsand 1/4 in, hex powerdrive screwdriver
bits. See Figure 6.

B Lockswitchtrigger by placingthe forward/reverse
switch in center position.See Figure 4,
Unlock speed lock. Tounlock:grasp center of
speed lockand pullin the directionofthe arrowas
shownin the top view offigure6,
Insert bit intoconet as faras possible.
Lock speed lock. To lock:graspcenter ofspeed
lockand pullin the directionofthe arrowas
shownin the lower viewof figure 6.
When finished usingyourscrewdnver,unlockspeed
lock,removebitfrom colletand placeitin bit
storage.See Figure5.
ADJUSTABLE TORQUE CLUTCH

When using yourscrewdriverfor variousdriving
applications,it becomes necessary to increase or
decrease the power and torque in orderto help
prevent the possibilityofdamaging screwheads,
threads, workpiece,etc. In general, power and torque
should correspondto the difficultyofthe screw tobe
driven. If torque istoohigh the screws may be
damaged or broken.
Note: Yourscrewdriver has been shipped withthe
adjustabletorque clutchsetat the lowesttorque
setting.
TO ADJUST TORQUE
SeeFigure7,
Locate arrow ontorque adjustmentcap.
To increasetorque, rotatetorque adjustmentcap
in the direction ofthe arrow. When cap stops
rotating,you have reachedthe highesttorque
setting.Todecrease torque, rotatetorqueadjust-
ment cap in the oppositedirectionof the arrow.
When cap stops rotating,youhave reached the
lowest torquesetting.
Note: Remember thetwo speed feature (HI-LO) when
settingtorque.The amount of torque willvary
dependingon which speed settingyou have your
screwdriver.Switchingto LO speed will increase
torque and switchingto HI speed will decrease torque.
