If notpurchasedas a kit, the battery pack and chargerare
notincluded withyour light. They are bothsoldsepa-
rately, if you need to purchase the battery pack and
charger, use the following information:

BATTERY PACK
The battery pack for this tight has been shipped In a low
charge condition to prevent possJbleproblems. Therefore,
you should chargeit until light on front of charger changes
from red to green.
Note: Batteries will not reach full charge the first time they
are charged. Allow severalcycles (operetlng light followed
by recharging) for batterles to become fully charged.
CHARGING BATTERY PACK
See Figure 1.
• Use onlythe recommendedbatterypack and charger
withthe light.
• Make sure power supply is normal household
voltage, 120 Volts, 60 Hz, AC only.
• Connect chargerto power supply,
• Place battery pack incharger aligning raised rib on
battery back with groovein charger. See F(gure 1.
• Preessdo,vnon batterypackto besumcontactsonbattery
packengageIzoparlywithcontactsIncharger.
• Normally, the red LED on charger willcome on.This
Indicates charger is in fast chargingmode.
• Red LED shouldremainon for apprc0<imately1 hour
then the green LED willcomeon. Green LED on
indicatesbattery pack isfullychargedand charger is
intricklechargemode. Note; Green LED willremain
on untilbatterypack is removedfrom chargeror
charger Is dlsconneeeedfrom power supply.
• Ifb_h yellowand greenLED come on, thisIndicatesa
deeply discharged ordefectivebatterypack.
Allow battery packto remainin chargerfor 15 to 30
minutes. When battery packreaches normal voltage
range, red LED shouldcome on.
Ifred LED does not comeon alter 30 minutes,this
indicatesa defective batterypackand shouldbe
replaced.
After normalusage,a minimumof 1 hour of charging
time is required to fully recharge battery pack,
The battery pack will become slightlywarm to the
touch while charging.This is normal and does nee
indicatea problem.
Do not piace charger and battery packinan area of
extremeheat or cold, Itwillwork bestat normalroom
temperature.
Note: Chargerand battery pack shouldbe placed in a
Icoatlon where the temperature Is more than 50°F but
less than IO0°F.
When batteriesbecomefully charged,unplugcharger
from powersupplyand remove the batterypack.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RECHARGING
HOT BATTERY PACK
When usingthe light continuously, the batteriesin the
battery pack will become hot. You should let a hot battery
pack cooldown for approximately 30 minutes before
attemptingto recharge. When the battery packbecomes
discharged and Is hot, this willcause the green LED to
come on instead at the red LED, After 30 minutes, reinsert
battery pack Incharger. If green LED continues to remain
on, return battery pack to your nearest Sears Repair
Center for checkingor replacing.
Note; This situationonlyoccurs when continuous use of
your light causes the batteries to become hot. It does not
occur under normal drcumstances. Refer to "CHARGING
BATTERY PACK" for normalrechargingof batteries. If
the charger does no_charge the battery packunder
normalcircumstances,returnboth the battery pack and
chargertothe nearestSears Repair Center for electrical
check.
