•Unp]ug thesander.
• Ifreplacingadhesivesandpaper,removeoldsand-
paperby peelingitoffcushion.Ifreplacingregular
sandpaper,relsase paper C_T_pby liftingup onpaper
cramp lever and disengagingit from the tab on the
platen.
• Remove non-adhesivesandpaper, then liftup on paper
damp lever end lock it into place.
• Carefullypeel adhesivebacking from new 114sheet
sandpaper.
• Positionsandpaper, makingsure frontedge of sand-
paperis alignedwith front edge of the cushion,then
carefullypress_cky side of sandpaper on cushion.
NOTE: Sandpaper must be a[igned with the front edge
ofthe cushionfor proper functioningof theflush sand-
ing feature.
The cushion onthe sander ksapprox_nnately
1/4 in.smaller than precutadhesive-backed sanding
sheets. If desiredyou may want to vim offthe over-
hang ofsandpaper on the back side ofcushion.The
cushion has been made smallersothat multiple sheets
ofnonadhesivesandpapercan be installed.

A paper punch template has been suppliedwith the sand-
er. Itshould be used for sflgning and punchingholesin the
sandpaper for alignmentwith the holes in the cushion.

• Instattsandpaperon thesander.
• Align sander cushionto paper punchas shown by the
iconon the paper punchtemplate.
• Pushdown on sander.

DUSTLESS SANDING

The dustbag providesa dust collectionsystemfor the
sander.Sandingdust is drawnup throughthe holesinthe
sandpaperend cushion and collects in thedust bag dur-
ing sanding operation.Formore effLcientoperation, empty
dust bag when halffull.
TO INSTALL DUST BAG:
• Unplugthe sander.
• Aligngrooves on dust bag with notches onsander dust
exhaust.
• Slide dust bag onto dust exhaust.
• Turn clockwiseuntilbag looksintoplace.
TO REMOVE DUST BAG FOR EMPTYING:
• Unplugthe sander.
• Turn dust bag counterclockwiseuntilit stops turning.
• Slide dust bag offsanderdustexhaust.
• Shake to empty.
