TIGHTENING SCREWS AND
NUTS (Fig. 9)
1. Install the correct bit.

2. Apply just enough pressure
to keep the bit engaged on
the screw or nut.
3. Position the direction-of-
rotation selector to the left of
the tool for forward rotation.

4. Apply minimal pressure to
the trigger switch initially.
Increase the speed only
when full control can be
maintained.
_i WARNING: Do not over-tighten, as the force of the 12V Right-Angle Impact
Driver can break the fastener. Keep the 12V Right-Angle Impact Driver at a right
angle to the fastener to avoid damaging the fastener head.

method for the Right-Angle Impact Driver. If cleaning with compressed air is the
only method available, always wear safety goggles or safety glasses with side
shields when using compressed air to clean the tool. If the operation is dusty,
also wear a dust mask.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
Avoid using solvents when cleaning plastic parts. Most plastics are susceptible
to damage from various types of commercial solvents and may be damaged by
their use. Use clean cloths to remove dirt, dust, oil, grease, etc.
_, WARNING: Do not at any time let brake fluids, gasoline, petroleum-
based products, penetrating oils, etc. to come in contact with plastic parts.
Chemicals can damage, weaken or destroy plastic which may result in
serious personal injury.
WARNING: When servicing, use only identical Craftsman replacement parts.
Use of any other parts may create a hazard or cause product damage. To ensure
safety and reliability, all repairs should be performed by a qualified service
technician at a Sears Service Center.
