Carefully unpack the tool and all loose items from the shipping container(s). Remove the protective coating from all
unpainted surfaces, especially on the bottom side of the bedways, the clamp plates under the headstock, the tool rest
base, and the tailstock. This coating may be removed with a soft cloth moistened with kerosene (do not use acetone,
gasoline or lacquer thinner for this purpose). After cleaning, cover the top surface of the bed with a good quality paste wax.
FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, DO NOT CONNECT THE TOOL TO THE POWER SOURCE UNTIL THE
TOOL IS COMPLETELY ASSEMBLED, AND YOU READ AND UNDERSTAND THE ENTIRE
OWNER’S MANUAL.
