CONVENIENT
Store subaudible tone frequencies and tone squelch ON/OFF
settings in memories for easy recall.
The receiver has 50 tone frequencies and consequently
their spacing is narrow.Therefore, some tone frequencies
may receive interference from adjacent ones.
Pocket beep operation
This function uses subaudible tones for calling and can be
used as a common pagerto inform you that someone has
called using the same tone in an amateur band while you
were away from the receiver.
Waiting for a call from a specic station
q Set the operating frequency in FM mode.
w Set the desired tone squelch tone in set mode.

e Turn the priority watch OFF when used. (p. 26)
The pocket beep cannot be used with the priority watch.
r Push [FUNC] + [(MODE)SET] momentarily to enter set
mode.
Select a non-band scope screen in advance for color LCD.
