Authorized Field Service Facility for technical troubleshooting assistance before you proceed.

PROBLEMS
(SYMPTOMS)
Major Physical or Electrical Damage is
Evident.
Engine will not crank
Engine will crank but not start.
Engine shuts down shortly after starting.
Engine shuts down while under a load.
Engine runs rough.
Engine will not shut off.
POSSIBLE AREAS OF
MISADJUSTMENT(S)
1. Contact your Local Lincoln Authorized
Field Service Facility.
1. Battery low.
2. Loose battery cable connections which
may need Inspected, cleaned or tighten.
3. Faulty wiring in engine starting circuit.
4. Faulty engine starter. Contact authorized
local Engine Service Shop.
1. Out of fuel.
2. Fuel shut off valve is in the off position
make sure the valve lever is in a vertical
direction. Engine shut down solenoid not
pulling in.
3. On/Off switch on for more than 30 sec.
before starting, the On/Off switch will
need to be switch off and turned back on.
4. Fuel Filters dirty/clogged, main filter
element and/or Inline Fuel Filter may
need to be replaced.
5. High water temperature or low oil
pressure (engine protection light lit).
1. Low oil pressure (engine protection light
lit). Check oil level (Consult engine
service dealer).
2. High water temperature. Check engine
cooling system (engine protection light
lit).
3. Faulty oil pressure switch.
4. Faulty water temperature switch. Contact
authorized local Engine Service Shop.
1. High water temperature.
1. Dirty fuel or air filters may need
cleaned/replaced.
2. Water in fuel.
1. Fuel Shutdown solenoid not functioning
properly / linkage binding.
RECOMMENDED
COURSE OF ACTION
If all recommended possible areas
of misadjustment have been
checked and the problem persists,
Contact your local Lincoln
Authorized Field Service Facility.
