4 Installing the Card Reader-C1
Work Checks/remarks
1) Make the following selections in service
mode:
COPIER>FUNCTION>INSTALL>CARD;
then, enter the card number (1 through
2701).
• Enter the number of the card (of all the
cards used by the user) that have the
lowest number.
• As many as 300 cards may be used hav-
ing a number higher than the one en-
tered.
2) Turn off the main power switch.
3) To facilitate the removal of the right
rear cover, remove the screws [1] from
the rear cover.
4) Open the manual feed tray and the right
lower cover.
5) Remove the five screws [1] ; and, while
opening the right rear cover [2] slightly,
detach the right rear cover.
