
Switch A-2: Doesyoursoftwaredownloadcharactersto the printer?
InordertodownloadcharactersthisswitchmustbeintheOFFposition.The
printer then uses its RAM memory for storing character patterns and
providesonlyaone-lineprintbuffer.IfyouleavethisswitchON,theprinter
usesitsRAMmemoryasaninputbuffer,allowingthecomputerto senddata
fasterthantheprinterprints.
Switch A-3: Do you wantan automaticlinefeed?
If you leave this switchin the ON position,a separateline-feedcode is
requiredfromyourcomputerto obtaina line feed.
If you movethis switchto the OFFposition,the printerperformsboth a
carnage returnandlinefeedeachtime it receivesa carriage-returncode.
Mostcomputersystemssendalinefeedcode,or botha carriagereturnand
line feed,at the end of eachline, so this switchshouldbeleft ON.
If you get doubleline spacingwhenyou expectsinglespacing,or if lines
overprinteachother,try changingthe settingof this switch.

In ordertousetheautomaticsheetfeederSF-1ODN,movethisswitchtothe
OFFposition.Otherwiseleaveit ON.
Switch B-1: Are you goingto printon multi-partpaper?
Youcanuseup to 3-plypaperwhenthis switchis ON.If youwantto print
orI4-plypaper,set thisswitchto the OFFposition.

WhenthisswitchisOFFtheprinterignoresthepaper-outdetectorandprints
downto (andbeyond)thebottomedge.Otherwiseleaveit ON.

Youcan selecttheTear Off functionwiththis switchOFF.
Whenusingfanfoldpaper,theTear Offfunctionallowsyouto tear offone
sheetof paperwithoutfullyadvancingthe followingsheet.

switchON.
