B-3-6 WBC MODE
A digital camera needs to find reference colour temperature, which is a way of
measuring the quality of a light source, for calculating all the other colours. The
unit for measuring this ratio is in degree Kelvin (K). You can select one of the
White Balance Control modes according to the condition. The following table
shows the colour temperature of some light sources.
Light Sources Color Temperature in K
Cloudy Sky 6,000 to 8,000
Noon Sun and Clear Sky 6,500
Household Lighting 2,500 to 3,000
75-watt Bulb 2,820
Candle Flame 1,200 to 1,500

AUTO
In this mode, white balance works within its colour temperature range. This
mode computes the white balance value output using colour information
from the entire screen. It outputs the proper value using the colour
temperature radiating from a black subject based on a range of values from
3000K to 7500K.
