Squaring Disc
Sander
The sanding tables for the spindle sander and the
disc sander have tilting capabilities from 0˚ to 45˚.
To tilt the sanding table:
1. Disconnect the machine from the power sup-
ply.
2. Using a machinist square, set one edge on
the table surface and the other against the
face of the sanding disc as shown in Figure
11. Note—This can be done with the sand-
paper installed, although it is somewhat eas-
ier to measure if the disc does not have the
sandpaper disc installed.
3. Loosen the lock lever and adjust the table
angle until it is perfectly perpendicular and
flush with both edges of the machinist
square.
4. Tighten the lock lever while holding the table
perpendicular.
5. Adjust the scale pointer to read 0˚ when the
table has been properly adjusted.
!
6. Tighten the table stop bolt against the under-
side of the table when the table is set at 90˚.
