The table shown in Figure
19 is a sampling of
speed rates for various materials. Use these as a
guideline, and use the cutting fluid system on your
bandsaw to get the most life from your blades.
Splash Tray
Use the splash tray to reduce cutting fluid lost at
the end of a workpieces such as tubes, channels,
I-beams, and angle iron. The splash tray fits over
the lip of the base as illustrated in Figure
20.

Using Blade Guides
The upper blade guide should be as close to the
workpiece as possible. This helps ensure straight
cuts by keeping the blade from twisting or drifting
off the cut line.
To adjust the upper blade guide:
Loosen the lever shown in
Figure 21 and slide
the upper blade guide as close to the workpiece
as possible, then tighten the knob.
