SECTION 6: OPERATIONS
Keep loose clothing
rolled up and out of the
way of machinery and
keep hair pulled back.
Wear safety glasses dur-
ing the entire operation
process. Failure to com-
ply may result in serious
personal injury.
All grinding wheels have the potential of
breaking apart during operation, causing
serious personal injury or death! Always
stand to the side of the grinder when turn-
ing it ON and wear the proper safety equip-
ment to protect yourself.
Using this machine pro-
duces dust which may
cause allergic reactions
and respiratory problems.
Use an approved dust
mask to protect yourself
from these hazards!
NOTICE
This section provides only a basic descrip-
tion of grinder/sander applications. There are
many different grinding wheels and sanding
belts available for your grinder/sander. WE
STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you read
books, trade magazines, or get formal train-
ing to maximize the potential of your
machine.
Once mounting is complete and adjustments are
done to your satisfaction, you are ready to test the
machine.
Test Run

Disconnect power from
the machine when per-
forming any mainte-
nance, assembly or
adjustments. Failure to
do this may result in seri-

This section has three main purposes: 1) Have
you start your machine to become familiar and
comfortable with its controls, 2) Inform you of
basic operations and essential information on
using grinding wheels, and 3) Inform you of the
basic operations and essential information on
using sanding belts.
To test run the grinder/sander:
1. Plug the machine into the power source.
2. Stand to the side of the grinding wheel and
turn the grinder ON.
The machine should run smoothly with little or no
vibration or rubbing noises. Strange or unnatural
noises should be investigated and corrected
before operating the machine further. If the
machine seems okay, stay out of the line of rota-
tion of the grinding wheel and let it run for 1-2 min-
utes to make sure the wheel is structurally sound.

unusual noise or vibration, feel free to contact our
