Vehicle Recovery Guidelines
Refer to the guidelines below when towing to prevent pos-
sible damage:
• Use proper towing equipment to prevent damage to
the vehicle.
CAUTION: Connect only to the towing provi-
sions, as described on the following pages.
Connections to other structural parts could
damage the vehicle. Do not attach to
bumpers or bumper brackets. Use only
equipment designed for this purpose.
• Use a safety chain system and the vehicle’s (2)
hitches. Be sure to use both hitches together to
recover a vehicle.
• Disconnect driveline.
• Follow state/provincial and local laws that apply to
vehicles in tow.
• Do not tow vehicles at speeds in excess of 55 mph
(90 km/h).
Recovery Rigging
To connect to the Regional Haul vehicle, attach the towing
chain or cable and the hitches to the (2) tow recievers
through the center access hole in the bumper.
Returning Vehicle to Service
You will have to add lubricant to prevent damage after
your vehicle has been towed.
1. Into the pinion cage, add 1 pint (.47 liter) of lubricant.
