LUBRICATION
Allofthebearingsinthistool are lubricatedwitha sufficientamountof high-grade
lubricantfor the life ofthetoolunder normaloperatingconditions.Therefore, no
further lubricationis required.
DOUBLE INSULATION
Double insulation is a conceptin safety inelectric power tools,which eliminatesthe
need for the standard 3-wire grounded powercord.Allexposed metal parts are
isolatedfrom the internal motor componentswith protectveinsulation.Double
insulatedtoolsdo not need to be grounded.
IMPORTANT
The servicingof a toolwith double insulationrequiresextreme care and knowledge
of the system and should be performedonly by a qualifiedservicetechnician.For
service, we recommendthat you returnthe tool to your nearest Sears Service Center
for repair.ALWAYS useoriginalfactory replacementpartswhen servicing.
EXTENSION CORDS
The use of any extensioncord will cause some loss of power.To keepthe lossat a
minimum and to preventoverheating,use an extensioncordthat isheavy enoughto
carrythe currentthat the toolwill draw.
A wire gauge (AWG) of at least 16 is recommendedfor an extensioncord 100 feet or
less inlength. When workingoutdoorsALWAYS use an extensioncord that is
suitablefor outdooruse.The cord'sjacket will be marked WA.

the cord so it will not getcaughton lumber,tools, etc. during the cuttingoperation

I/K DANGER: Check extension cords before each use. if damaged, replace I

it immediately. NEVER use a tool with a damaged cord because touching the

damaged area could cause electrical shock, resulting in serious injury.
