CARRYING HANDLE

Forconveniencewhen carryingor transportingyour
miter saw from one place to another, a carrying
handle hasbeen providedon top of the saw arm as
shownin figure 4. To transport,turnoffand unplug
your saw,then lowerthe saw armand lockit inthe
down position: Locksaw arm bydepressing the lock
pin.

A spindlelockbuttonhas been providedfor locking
the spindlewhichkeeps the bladein yoursaw from
rotating.Depressand hold the lock button while
installing,changing,or removingbladeonly.

The miterlockhandle securelylocksyour saw at
desired miter angles.
LOCK-OFF LEVER

The switchtriggerisequippedwith a rock-offleverto
reducethe possibilityof accidentaletartJng.The lock-
off lever mustbe presseddownwiththe palm of your
handtoturn saw on. The spdngloaded lever will
springback intothe lock-offposition when the switch
triggeris released.

To preventunauthorizeduse ofyour compound miter
saw, we suggestthat youdisconnectit fromthe power
supplyand lockthe switchinthe offposition. To lock
the switch, installa padlockthrough thehole inthe
switchtrigger.A lock witha shackleup to 13/64 in.
diameter may be used.When the lockisinstalledand
locked,the switchisinoperable.Store the padlockkey
in anotherlocation.
