Keep the lathe chisel against the tool rest the
ENTIRE time you are cutting or when feeding
the chisel into the workpiece. Otherwise, the
spinning workpiece could knock the chisel
out of your hands or pull your hands into
the workpiece, resulting in serious entangle-
ment or impact injuries.

When outboard turning, rotate the workpiece
by hand before connecting the machine to
power to make sure that it will not come
in contact with any obstacle. Otherwise,
it could break apart during operation and
cause serious impact injuries.
