Analog FXS
CAUTION
The Interconnecting cables shall be acceptable for external use
and shall be rated for the proper application with respect to volt-
age, current, anticipated temper
ature, flammability, and
mechanical serviceability.
Applicable to SmartNodes equipped with FXS ports. The FXS ports are connected to analog terminals
(phones, fax machines, answering machines) via cables terminated with RJ-11 connectors (see section “FXS
port” on
page 71 for details on port pinouts).

cables terminated with RJ-11 connectors (see section “FXO port” on
page 71 for details on port pinouts).
Note The phone line socket (connector type and pinout) available from the public
network vary from country to country. Refer to technical information avail-
able from your local operator for additional cabling information.
