Blade Tilting Control
Loosen blade angle lock 1 counterclockwise (Fig. 8), slide the
elevation wheel 2 until blade is at desired angle and tighten blade
angle lock 1 clockwise.
Adjusting 90 and 45
Degree Positive Stops
Your saw is equipped with positive stops for fast and accurate
positioning of the saw blade at 90 (0°) and 45 degrees to the table.
To prevent personal injury, always disconnect
plug from power source when making
adjustments.
ADJUSTING POSITIVE STOP AT 90 DEGREES
1. Turn elevation wheel 2 clockwise and raise blade to maximum
height.
2. Loosen the blade angle lock 1 and push the elevation wheel 2
to the left as far as possible and tighten the blade angle lock 1.
3. Place a combination square on the table with one end of square
against the blade as shown (Fig. 9), and check to see if the blade
is 90 degrees to the table. If the blade is not 90 degrees to the
table, loosen the blade angle lock, loosen 90 degree adjustment
screw 3 a few turns and push the elevation wheel until the blade is
90 degrees to the table. Then tighten blade angle lock and tighten
90 degree adjustment screw 3 until it stops.
4. Adjust pointer to indicate 0 degrees.
ADJUSTING POSITIVE STOP AT 45 DEGREES
1. Loosen the blade angle lock 1 and push elevation wheel 2 to the
right as far as possible and tighten the blade angle lock 1.
2. Place a combination square on the table with one end of the
square against the table as shown (Fig. 10), and check to see if the
blade is 45 degrees to the table. If the blade is not 45 degrees to
the table, loosen the blade angle lock, loosen 45 degree
adjustment screw 4 a few turns and push the elevation wheel until
the blade is 45 degrees to the table. Then tighten blade angle lock
and tighten 45 degree adjustment screw 4 until it stops.
