1.3‐‐FeaturesofZincAirPrismatic

Energizer’sZincAirPrismaticbatteriesoffera 5mmthin,prismaticconstructiondesignedtoworkwitha
variety of applications.Thisshape is consistent with the low profile design oftoday’s devices, often
requiring a thinner battery solution.The thinnest round cell available is the AAAA battery at
approximately8
mm,andmanyLithiumIonrechargeablesolutionshaveathicknessof5mm.
EnergizerZincAirPrismaticbatteriesalsooffertheopportunitytosignificantlylowermanufacturer
costs.It is likely that the cost ofa Zinc Air Prismatic battery solution will be less than the cost ofa
LithiumIon
battery.AddingtothecostofaLithiumIonsolutionisthecostofcircuitryforchargeand
dischargecontrol,whichisnotneededwithZincAirPrismaticbatteries.FurthermoreZincAirPrismatic
batteriesarereadytobeusedoutofthepackage.Thereisnoneedforchargeadaptors.
EnergizerZincAirPrismaticbatteriescanlastupto3Xlongerthancomparablevolumebatterysystems.
This service advantage is due to Zinc Air technology offering the highest energy density for non
rechargeableandrechargeableconsumerbatteries.Figure2demonstratesthisadvantageoverAlkaline
andLithiumIonbatteriesofsimilar
volume.
