1.3‐‐FeaturesofZincAirPrismatic
Energizer’sZincAirPrismaticbatteriesoffera 5mmthin,prismaticconstructiondesignedtoworkwitha
variety of applications.Thisshape is consistent with the low profile design oftoday’s devices, often
requiring a thinner battery solution.The thinnest round cell available is the AAAA battery at
approximately8
mm,andmanyLithiumIonrechargeablesolutionshaveathicknessof5mm.
Energizer Zinc Air Prismatic batteries also offer the opportunity to significantly lower manufacturer
costs.It is likely that the cost ofa Zinc Air Prismatic battery solution will be less than the cost ofa
LithiumIon
battery.AddingtothecostofaLithiumIonsolutionisthecostofcircuitryforchargeand
dischargecontrol,whichisnotneededwithZincAirPrismaticbatteries.FurthermoreZincAirPrismatic
batteriesarereadytobeusedoutofthepackage.Thereisnoneedforchargeadaptors.
EnergizerZincAirPrismaticbatteriescanlastupto3Xlongerthancomparablevolumebatterysystems.
This service advantage is due to Zinc Air technology offering the highest energy density for non‐
rechargeableandrechargeableconsumerbatteries.Figure2demonstratesthisadvantageoverAlkaline
andLithiumIonbatteriesofsimilar
volume.
