environment is negligible.While the service obtained from a PP355 at temperatures lower than
standard conditionsis less, the

PP355
batterysustainsasignificantperformanceadvantageoversimilarvolumeAlkalinebatterieswith
varyingintermittencyinextremetemperatureandhumidityconditions.
2.3‐‐PulseCapability
ThepulsecapabilityofZincAirbatteriesisdependentontheinstantaneousamountofoxygenavailable
attheairelectrodeatagiventime.WhilethePP355batterycancontinuouslydischargeatratesupto
100mA,thebatterycanprovidesignificantlymorecurrentinshortbursts.Figure8demonstrates
thata
freshPP355batterycanprovidepulsesofupto1500mA,dependingonthedurationofthepulse.The
pulsecapabilityofaZincAirbatterycanalsobeaffectedbythefrequencyofthepulses.Pulsecapability
willdropovertimewithoutsufficienttimeformoreoxygento
entertheairelectrode.
