Control Panel Safety Foot Brake
Z. Coolant Pump Switch: Controls coolant
pump motor.
AA. EMERGENCY STOP Button: Stops all
machine functions. Twist clockwise to reset.
AB. Power Lamp: Illuminates when main power
switch is turned ON and EMERGENCY STOP
button is reset.
AC. Jog/Inching Button: Powers forward spindle
rotation as long as it is pressed.

Configuring the end gears (shown in Figure)
8 controls the speed of the leadscrew for thread-
ing or the feed rod for power feed operations.

This lathe is equipped with a foot brake (see
Figure 9) to quickly stop the spindle instead of
allowing the spindle to coast to a stop on its own.
Pushing the foot brake while the spindle is ON
cuts power to the motor and stops the spindle.
After the foot brake is used, the spindle lever
must be returned to the OFF (middle) position
to reset the spindle switches before re-starting
spindle rotation.
