Refer to Figures 1–3 and the following descrip-
tions to become familiar with the basic controls of
this machine.

entire manual BEFORE
using machine.
A. Spindle RPM Readout: Indicates spindle
speed in rotations per minute (RPM).
B. Spindle Direction Switch: Toggles spindle
direction between clockwise and counter-
clockwise.
C. Speed Control Knob: Adjusts spindle speed
from low to high within range governed by
pulley belt position.
D. ON/OFF Switch w/Emergency Stop Button:
Turns lathe ON and OFF.
E. Belt Tension Lock Handle: Locks belt ten-
sion lever in place.
F. Belt Tension Lever: Increases and decreas-
es amount of tension on belt.

G. Tailstock Lock Lever: Secures tailstock in
position along bed.
H. Tailstock Handwheel: Moves quill toward or
away from spindle.
I. Quill Lock Handle: Secures quill in position.
J. Quill: Holds centers or tooling. Can be
moved toward and away from spindle.
