Setting Up the Meter for Backreflection Measurements
To prepare the meter for backreflection measurements:
1. Ensure that the meter is powered off.
2. Set the power switch to ON, and allow the meter to stabilize.
3. Press the BR key to set the meter to Backreflection mode, which is displayed as BR on the
meter.
4. Clean the output port on the front of the meter and the APC connector (green boot) of the
measurement jumper, and connect this end of the jumper to the output port. Ensure that
you are using the measurement jumper and not the calibration jumper, which is labeled as
such. The output connector of the measurement jumper is user-selected and must be
compatible with the input connector of the DUT.
For each wavelength at which measurements are to be made:
