When drillinghard, smooth surfaces, usa a canterpunch
to mark the desiredhole Iocallon.This wff!preventtheddl[
bitfrom slippingoffcanter as the hole is started. How-
ever, the lower speed feature allowsstartingholes without
canter punchingifdesired.To accomplishthis, simply
operate your drillat lower speed untilthe hole Is started.
The matedsi to be ddlied shouldbe secured in a viseor
with clamp_to keep Itfromturningas thedrillbIt rotates.
Holdtool firmly and place the bitat the pointto be drilled.
Depress the switchtriggerto start tool.
Move the drillbit into the workpieca,applyingonly enough
pressureto keep the bitcutting. Do notforce or apply side
pressureto elongatea hole.

has a tendency to grab and kick oppositeto the
directionof rotationand couldcause toss of control
when breaking throughmaterial, ifyou are not
prepared, thislossof controlcan result in possible

When drillingmetals, use a light oilon the drillbitto keep
it from overheating.The oil will prolongthe life of the bit
and increasethe ddltingaction.
it the bitjams in workplaceor if the drillstalls, release
switchtriggerimmediately,Remove the bit fromthe
workplaceand determinethe reasonfor jamming.
