79-5 create stp instance_id
Description
This command is used to create a new MST instance independent from the default Instance: CIST
(Instance 0). After creating the MST instance, a user needs to configure the VLANs (using
commands in 79-7), or the newly created MST instance will still be in a disabled state.
Format
create stp instance_id <value 1-64>
Parameters
<value 1-64> - Specify the MSTP instance ID. Instance 0 represents a default instance CIST.
This value must be between 1 and 64.
Restrictions
Only Administrator, Operator and Power-User level users can issue this command.
Example
To create an MSTP instance:
DGS-3420-28SC:admin#create stp instance_id 2
Command: create stp instance_id 2
Warning:There is no VLAN mapping to this instance_id!
Success.

79-6 delete stp instance_id
Description
This command is used to delete the specified MST Instance. CIST (Instance 0) cannot be deleted
and you can only delete one instance at a time.
Format
delete stp instance_id <value 1-64>
Parameters
<value 1-64> - Specify the MSTP instance ID. Instance 0 represents the default instance CIST.
This value must be between 1 and 64.
Restrictions
Only Administrator, Operator and Power-User level users can issue this command.
