To set the 45° fence stop:
1. Loosen the fence tilt lock, and position the
fence against the 45° stop bolt.
2. Loosen the lock nut on the 45˚ fence stop bolt
(Figure 71).
The table lock levers can be adjusted if they do
not lock.

To adjust the table lock levers:
1. DISCONNECT THE JOINTER/PLANER
FROM THE POWER SOURCE!
2. Remove the cutterhead guard.
3. Raise the table on the side of the lock lever
that does not lock.
4. Loosen the lock nut on the special bolt under
the table, as shown in
Figure 72.

5. Adjust the bolt height a few turns, lower the
table, and try engaging the lock lever.
6. Repeat Steps 3-5 until the lever engages,
then secure the lock nut.

3. Adjust the 45˚ stop bolt until the fence is
exactly 45° outward while resting on the bolt
(check the angle with a sliding bevel set to
135° or with a 45° square.
4. Retighten the lock nut loosened in Step 2.
