1. Install the table insert by putting your fingers
into the finger holes of the insert and lifting
the front to install it as shown in Figure 14.
There is a small pin at the back of the insert
which fits into a hole in the back edge of the
blade cavity. Note: The blade will not be
exactly centered in the insert slot. This is
normal. This positioning allows the blade to
tilt a full 45° without hitting the insert.
2. Make the insert flush with the table top by
adjusting the four setscrews in the insert.
Check flushness with a straight edge. Figure
15.
3. A drop of glue or Loctite
®
on the threads of
the setscrews will keep the setting from
changing.
4. If the blade hits the edge of the insert when
raised, the blade is out of alignment. See
Section 3 page 19.
