ROUTINE AND PERIODIC ENGINE
MAINTENANCE
At the end of each day’s use, refill the fuel tank to min-
imize moisture condensation in the tank. Running out
of fuel tends to draw dirt into the fuel system. Also,
check the crankcase oil level and add oil if indicated.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
Have qualified personnel do the maintenance
work. Turn the engine off before working inside
the machine. In some cases, it may be
necessary to remove safety guards to perform
required maintenance. Remove guards only
when necessary and replace them when the
maintenance requiring their removal is
complete. Always use the greatest care when
working near moving parts.
Do not put your hands near any rotating parts. If
a problem cannot be corrected by following the
instructions, take the machine to the nearest
Lincoln Field Service Shop.

guards off.
