The bump switch is used when performing rip cuts.
When the saw assembly lock is engaged, the ripping mode
bump switch is active and the trigger switch is inactive.
The Bump Switch has a removable safety key to protect
against unauthorized use.

The trigger switch is used when performing crosscuts.
When the saw assembly lock is disengaged, the ripping
mode bump switch is inactive and the trigger switch is
active.
To reduce the likelihood of accidental start-up, the trigger
switch is equipped with safety buttons that must be
depressed before the trigger can be activated. When either
safety button is depressed, the trigger is unlocked and it can
be pulled to activate the motor. Once the trigger is
activated, release the safety button so it can automatically
engage and lock the switch upon release of the trigger.
!& Trigger switch can accommodate a padlock (not
included) to prevent unauthorized use.
