Operation Tips
Your safety is important. The tips below are
intended to supplement SECTION 1: SAFETY
.
But remember, no safety list can be comprehen
-
sive of every situation. The operator is ultimately
responsible for their own safety, as well as the
safety of bystanders. Every cutting operation is
uniquely different and may require safety equip
-
ment or safety procedures not mentioned in this
manual.
Please follow these tips EVERY time you use
your saw:
• Stand to the left of the blade line-of-cut when
performing a cutting operation.
• Turn
OFF the saw and allow the blade to
come to a complete stop before removing the
cut-off piece.
• Make sure that the riving knife is always
aligned with the main blade before cutting!
• Always position the blade guard to the cor
-
rect height above the workpiece.
• Carefully plan each cutting operation to avoid
injuries.
• When you release the sliding table lock,
make sure that the knob is positioned so that
it will not lock the table during a cut.
