HEAVY LIFT!
Straining or crushing injury
may occur from improperly
lifting machine or some of
its parts. To reduce this risk,
get help from other people
and use a fork lift (or other
lifting equipment) rated for
weight of this machine.
Power lifting equipment, steel rods (refer to
Page 11), and at least two other people are
required to lift and place the mill.
To move your machine into position:
1. Remove outside crating material from ship-
ping crate, but leave machine bolted to pallet
(for now).
2. Move machine next to its intended installation
location, then unbolt it from pallet.
3. To help balance machine during moving,
position table as close to column as possible,
and adjust headstock to its lowest position.
5. Evenly position forklift forks under steel rods
on each side of cabinet.
Note: Before next step, make sure all locks
are tight to avoid sudden shifts which could
unbalance machine.
6. With help of additional people to steady load,
slowly lift machine, remove pallet, then lower
machine into position.

4. Insert steel rods into holes in stand, as shown
in Figure 5.
