Depth Stop Head Height
The depth stop is used to control the range of
downward movement by the drill bit or cutter.
Maximum depth is 5".
To calibrate the depth stop:
1. Make sure the spindle is drawn all the way up
into the head. Place a piece of paper on the
workpiece. Loosen the headstock bolts and
lower the head until the drill bit or cutter just
contacts the paper. Tighten the headstock
bolts.
2. Turn the depth stop leadscrew until the top of
the indicator plate is level with your desired
depth as listed on the scale to the left or right.
The depth stop leadscrew is controlled by the
knurled knob under the front of the headstock
(Figure 26).

The head height on this Mill/Drill can be adjusted
for various applications.
To adjust the head height:
1. Loosen the two head locking nuts located on
the right side of the head near the back. Use
the lug wrench provided (Figure 27).

2. Use the head crank to move the head up or
down according to your needs.
3. Tighten the two head locking nuts.
